BOSTON – The Sacred Heart women's track and field team had three event winners and seven other top-three finishes Thursday night at the Boston University Multi-Team Meet.
The Pioneers won three events in the field Thursday night. Nicole Bartosch, the reigning NEC Rookie of the Week, won the high jump by clearing 1.60m. Sophomore Sara Isaacson took the pole vault by clearing 3.35m. Lorraine Santiago won the triple jump with a leap of 10.75m. Dylan Baker finished second in both the long jump and triple jump. Kolbi Smith had a pair of second place finishes in both the shot put (13.18m) and weight throw (14.74m). Mareena DiMilia was third in both of those events with tosses of 12.76m in the shot put and 14.65m in the weight throw.
Brianna Castrogivanni had one of the women's team's best finishes on the track. The senior finished second in the mile with a time of 4:55.88. Elizabeth Hutchins ran second in the 3000m with a time of 10:00.27. Ashia Wright finished third in the 60m dash, running a time of 7.93 seconds. Freshman Nicole Bartosch, the reigning NEC Rookie of the Week, also had a third place finish on the track. Bartosch ran a 25.57 in the 200m to finish third in that race. Emma Bolduc ran a 2:59.86 in the 1000m to finish third. Bridget Carey ran fourth in the 500m with a time of 1:18.70. Sophomore Cynthia Gray was the Pioneers' top finisher in the 800m, crossing the finish line fourth in a time of 2:27.57.
Sacred Heart is back in action on Jan. 24-25 in the Harvard Multi-Events meet.
