Sacred Heart Women Finish 9th at New England's; Rowe Takes 2nd in the Decathlon for the SHU Men
The Sacred Heart men's and women's track and field teams competed at the 2010 New England Championships on Friday and Saturday at Northeastern University in Boston, Massachusetts. The Pioneers women finished ninth overall in the 39 team field with 35 points while the men were 25th among 39 teams with 11 points.

Pioneer Women 4th, Men 5th at NEC Championships
The Sacred Heart track and field teams wrapped up competition at the 2010 Northeast Conference Outdoor Championships Sunday afternoon at Mount St. Mary's University. The Pioneer women finished fourth at the event while the men came in fifth overall.

SHU Women Lead NEC Championship After Day One; Men Sit 7th
Emmitsburg, Md. (May 1, 2010) - The Sacred Heart women's track and field team leads the 2010 Northeast Conference Championship after the first day of competition on Saturday afternoon on the campus of Mount St. Mary's University. SHU posted 59 points after six scored events on Saturday. The Pioneer men sit in seventh place after day one.

Athalia Smith Selected Enterprise Rent-A-Car/SHU Student Athlete Of The Week
Sophomore Athalia Smith (New Britain, CT) of the women's track and field team has been named the Enterprise Rent-A-Car/Sacred Heart student athlete of the week for April 12-18. Smitih captured event victories in the shot put and hammer throw as the women's track team earned its 14th consecutive Collegiate Track Conference championship last weekend.
