FAIRFIELD, Conn. (October 24, 2006) - Sacred Heart senior Pam Pillo (Shelton, CT) was named the Prince / Northeast Conference Tennis Player of the Week by the league office Tuesday afternoon.

Pillo captures the fifth Prince/NEC Player of the Week award of her career after becoming the first player in Sacred Heart history to win a singles match at ITA Regionals over the weekend. In first round action, she defeated UMBC's Pascaline Cette, 2-6, 6-2, 6-1. Pillo was then ousted in the next round by the #14 seed, Janet Kim of Yale, 6-0, 6-0.
