Sacred Heart senior Lauren Galatie (Monroe, CT) was named the Northeast Conference Women's Tennis Player of the Week announced by the conference office Tuesday afternoon.

Galatie corrals Prince/NEC Player of the Week honors for the second time this season and the sixth time over the course of her career after helping lead the Pioneers to a 7-0 dual meet win over league rival Monmouth on Wednesday. Galatie won her #1 singles match, 6-3, 6-0, and teamed with junior Pam Pillo for an 8-3 triumph at #1 doubles. She is now 3-1 in singles play this fall, and has compiled a 5-2 doubles mark along with Pillo.

The women's team will return to action this weekend at the Stony Brook Duals.
