FAIRFIELD, Conn. (October 18, 2008) - The Sacred Heart women's tennis team won four of the six singles matches and took the doubles point to come away with a 5-2 win over Siena College Saturday afternoon. The Pioneers improved their dual match record to 3-0 this fall.

Sophomore Darcy Demers (Norton, MA) picked up a pair of wins, posting a 6-0, 6-2 win over Lauren May at #4 singles and teaming with freshman Kate Donnelly (Centerville, MA) for a win at #2 doubles, 8-2, over Danielle gill and May.

Freshman Kristina Chao (Needham, MA) picked-up a 6-4, 6-0 win at #5 singles over Jes Asselin while fellow freshman Delaney Downing (Englewood, CO) earned a 6-1, 6-1 win over Nicole Ross at #5.

Junior Julianne Kasinow (Wall, NJ) recorded the other singles win in the #3 slot, beating Gill 6-0, 6-2. The team of senior Mandy Finkelstein (Portland, CT) and junior Ashley Amalfe (Clark, NJ) sealed the doubles point with an 8-1 win over Asselin and Ross at #3 doubles.

The Pioneers round out the fall portion of the schedule with an apperance at the ITA Regionals hosted by Penn.
