FAIRFIELD, CT (April 18, 2006) - The Marist Red Foxes extended their dual match winning streak to eight-straight Tuesday afternoon, beating Sacred Heart 6-1 in Fairfield in women's tennis action. The Pioneers fall to 7-10 in dual matches this year.

SHU's lone point came from senior Lissa Von Brecht (Cumberland Foreside, ME) who posted a 6-1, 6-3 win over Emily Zampello at #6 singles. Sophomore Jessica Schnell (Schenectady, NY) lost a hard fought singles match at #4. She dropped the first set 6-2 to Megan Gureck but battled back to win the second, 6-4. She lost a hard fought third set, 7-6 (4).

The Pioneers return to the courts this weekend at the Northeast Conference Championships in West Windsor, New Jersey.
