STONY BROOK, NY (April 6, 2006) - The Sacred Heart women's tennis team dropped their fourth-straight dual match Thursday afternoon, losing at Stony Brook, 6-1. The Pioneers fall to 5-8 in dual match play this year.

The Seawolves took five singles matches at #2 through #6 and earned the double point with wins at #1 and #3 doubles to secure the win.

SHU's Laura Murillo and Nicole Betz turned in an 8-2 win over Erica Federgreen and Monica Myers at #2 doubles for the Pioneers. Senior Lauren Galatie got a win at #1 singles when AC Valle was forced to retire with injury.

The Pioneers return to the court on Sunday when they host Providence at 12 noon.
