The 2013-2014 season will be Brent Noble’s second at Sacred Heart after he arrived in October 2012. Noble has put in place a new championship environment at SHU, and the new level of development is apparent. The 2012-2013 season was the best in program history as nine new school records were established.
Prior to Sacred Heart, Noble served as an assistant coach for the men's and women's swim teams at East Carolina University where he served as the sprint coach. At ECU, Noble’s sprinters accounted for seven new school records and four NCAA Division I “B” cuts. Prior to ECU, Brent spent a year as the men’s assistant coach at DePauw University where he coached five Division III NCAA qualifiers. Noble has also spent several years coaching with various club teams and swim camps.
Noble completed his undergrad in exercise science at Eastern Illinois in 2009 where he was a four year member of the swimming team and captain as a senior. At EIU, Noble was an all-conference performer, and he currently holds top-ten times in each of the individual medley events. He has also long been associated with Indiana University’s Counsilman Center for the Science of Swimming where he is currently finishing thesis research for a Master of Science degree in exercise physiology.
