  • SHU Swimming Named a CSCAA Scholar All-America Team

    The Sacred Heart swim team was named a 2013 Fall CSCAA Scholar All-America Team by the College Swimming Coaches Association of America. Their hard work in the classroom earned the Pioneers a cumulative grade point average of 3.10 in the fall semester.
  • Pioneers Finish Seventh in Northeast Conference Championship

    The Sacred Heart swim team continued to break program records in the final day of the Northeast Conference Championship at MIT. Freshman Jillian Crosby (Port Monmouth, N.J.) broke the 100 yard Freestyle record twice as the Pioneers finished seventh with 167 points.
  • Pioneers Set Another Program Record on Day 3 of NEC Championship

    After a morning where five Pioneers posted their best times of the season, qualifying for the finals in their respective events, the Sacred Heart swim team broke yet another school record on Day 3 of the Northeast Conference Championship. The team of Olivia Decas (Mattaposiett, Mass.), Malvina Reinhold (Gothenberg, Sweden), Lizzy Bennett (Fairbanks, Alaska) and Jillian Crosby (Port Monmouth, N.J.) set a new program best finishing the 400 yard Medley Relay in 4:00.53, a full second better than the previous record, for sixth place.
  • Decas 10th in 50 yard Freestyle at NEC Championship

    After all eight Pioneers posted season bests in the preliminaries, freshman Olivia Decas (Mattaposiett, Mass.) of the Sacred Heart women's swim team finished tenth in the 50 yard Freestyle final Thursday night at the Northeast Conference Championship.
  • SHU Swimming Breaks Two Records in Day 1 of NEC Championship

    The Sacred Heart women’s swim team broke two school records in the first day of the Northeast Conference Championship at MIT in Cambridge, Mass. Wednesday evening.
  • SHU Swimming Falls to Siena 126-79

    The Sacred Heart swim team fell to Siena 126-79 this past Saturday. The Pioneers brought home four first place finishes, including two team wins in the 200 yard Medley Relay (1:53.39) and the 200 yard Freestyle Relay (1:43.50).

  • Pioneers Win Nine Events in Win Over Manhattan

    The Sacred Heart women’s swim team won nine events en route to defeating the Manhattan Jaspers 118-85.
  • SHU Swim Team 0-2 at Bridgeport double-dual meet

    The Sacred Heart women’s swim team went 0-2 Friday afternoon, falling to Yale 107-76 and Bridgeport 125-79. The Pioneers capture four second places finishes, their best of the double-dual meet.
  • Reinhold Breaks Pool Record; Pioneers Fall to Assumption 133-111

    Malvina Reinhold (Gothenburg, Sweden) of the Sacred Heart women’s swim team broke the pool record Friday at Assumption College. Reinhold swam the 100 yard Breaststroke in 1:09.85 as the Pioneers had one of their best meets of the season. SHU won eight out of 13 events, but fell in the dual meet 133-111.
  • Pioneers Lose Dual Meet to C.W. Post 121-107

    The Sacred Heart swim team lost to C.W. Post 121-107 in a dual meet this past weekend. The Pioneers took home four individual first place finishes. Malvina Reinhold (Gothenburg, Sweden) Jillian Crosby (Port Monmouth, N.J.), Elizabeth Bennett (Fairbanks, Alaska) and Siobhan Goodman (Ridgewood, N.J.) took first place in their respective races. Crosby also took second in the 200 yard Freestyle.
  • Pioneers Finish 3rd at Iona Meet

    The Sacred Heart women’s swim team came in third Saturday at Iona in a meet which featured Wagner College, St. Francis Brooklyn and host-school Iona.
  • SHU Swimming Tabbed 6th in Preseason Poll

    The Sacred Heart women’s swim team has been picked to finish sixth in the Northeast Conference in the 2013 preseason coaches’ poll released Friday afternoon. Wagner received four first place votes to take the top spot, while Central Connecticut State and Saint Francis U, who received two first place votes, tied for the No. 2 spot.
  • Pioneers Take 8th at NE Catholic Invitational

    The Sacred Heart swim team finished eighth at the New England Catholic Invitational this weekend in Chestnut Hill, Mass. Freshman Jillian Crosby got the team’s highest spot when she finished third swimming the 200 yard Freestyle in 1:59.00.
  • Pioneer Make a Splash at St. Francis Brooklyn; Defeat Terriers 111-93

    The Sacred Heart women’s swimming team picked up a big win in the season opener Friday night as the Pioneers took down the Terriers 111-93. SHU racked up first place finishes in seven events throughout the meet.

    FAIRFIELD, CONN. (Aug. 16, 2013)—Brent Noble, head coach of the Sacred Heart women’s swim team, announces a new addition to his coaching staff. As of the 2013-14 season, Allison O’Keefe will come on as the new assistant coach.
  • SHU Swimming's GPA Ranked 21st by CCSCAA

    The Sacred Heart Swimming team was ranked 21st among NCAA Division I members by the College Swim Coaches Association of America for their performance in the classroom last year. The Pioneers registered a combined grade point average of 3.50.
