Fairfield, CT - Sophomore Johannah Kos (Feeding Hills, MA) has been named the Northeast Conference Swimmer of the Week for the week of October 28-November 4. She is the first Pioneer swimmer in school history to win a league award.

Kos earns NEC Swimmer of the Week honors after leading the Pioneers' to a pair of wins over Manhattan and Bridgeport. The Feeding Hills, MA native finished first in the 200 meter backstroke with a time of 2:27.13. She also swam the anchor leg of SHU's first place 400 meter freestyle relay team which finished with a time of 4:19.82. Kos' converted 200 meter back time would rank as the Northeast Conference's second fastest time this season.

The Pioneers are back in action this weekend when they visit Iona. The meet starts at 1:00 pm.
