BROOKVILLE, NY (November 20) - The Sacred Heart University women's swimming team lost despite an outstanding performance Saturday versus C.W. Post. Sophomore Krystina Eikeseth (Staten Island, NY) claimed first place in the 1000 Freestyle (11:26.16) and the 100 Butterfly (1:05.74) and placed second in the 500 freestyle (5:36.73) to lead the Pioneers. Freshman Adriana Morgan (Poughkeepsie, NY) paired with Eikeseth in the 100 Butterfly and 500 Freestyle placing third in both events with times of 1:09.14 and 5:39.74. In addition Morgan battled her way to second in the 200 Freestyle with a time of 2:06.04. Another stellar performance was put in by freshmen Bridget McGowan (Norfolk, MA) and Laura Johnson (Red Hook, NY) finishing second and third in the 400 Individual Medley with times of 5:11.41 and 5:13.18.

Johnson went on to have a seasons' best time of 1:13.24 in the 100 Breaststroke. The team highlight came when junior captain Brianne Ryan (Hingham, NY) finished fourth in the 500 Freestyle with a lifetime best 5:51.95.
