Piscataway, NJ - Freshman Laurie Casado (Queens, NY) set a school record in the 200 yard breaststroke and the Pioneers continued to lower their personal best times as they wrapped up action at the Rutgers Invitational Sunday.

A day after crushing the SHU record in the 100 yard breaststroke, Casado posted a time of 2:28.41 in the 200 yard event, bettering her own record set last week at CW Post by almost three seconds. Meanwhile, sophomore Katie Marshall (Cumberland, RI) nearly set a record of her own, turning in a time of 2:09.66 in the 200 yard butterfly missing the record by less than one second. Freshman Meghan Bailey (Walpole, MA) also posted an impressive time in the fly.

The Pioneers will be back in the pool Friday when they take on St. Franics (NY) in Brooklyn. The meet is set for a 6:00 pm start.
