New Rochelle, NY - Sophomore Johannah Kos (Feeding Hills, MA) set a new school record in the 100 meter backstroke, leading the Sacred Heart swimming and diving team against Iona Saturday afternoon. The Pioneers lost the meet 135-94 to the Gaels.

Kos set her mark in the 400 yard medley relay. She seam the second leg backstroke portion of the event in 1:02.13. The time helped the Pioneers finish second in the event. Kos was also impressive in the individual events. She won the 200 yard individual medley with a time of 2:17.29 and placed second in the 200 yard backstroke.

Freshman Katie Marshall (Cumberland, RI) continued her strong rookie season, posting a victory in the 200 yard butterfly with a time of 2:11.55. SHU's 400 yard freestyle relay team turned in a time of 4:01.96.

The Pioneers are back in action Saturday December 1 when they visit Siena.
