Landover, MD - The Sacred Heart women's swimming team placed 12th at the Northeast Conference Championships over the weekend, finishing with 75 points. Gardner-Webb University took home the championship with 735 points.

The Pioneers were led by their relay teams who qualified for the finals in each event. The 800 yard freestyle relay team of Adriana Morgan (Poughkeepsie, NY), Catheryn Lozinak (Shelton, CT), Jordan Meyer (Torrington, CT) and Jennifer Crowley (Newington, CT) placed eighth, the top finish for SHU. Meyer, Crowley, Morgan and Eileen Connor (Enfield, CT) finished 11th in the 400 yard freestyle relay, as did the 200 yard medley relay group of Connor, Meyer, Laura Johnson (Red Hook, NY) and Amanda Zullo (Hyde Park, NY). Connor, Meyer, Crowley and Erin Bulvanoski (Oceanport, NJ) took 11th place in the 200 yard freestyle relay and Bulvanoski, Johnson, Connor and Morgan took 10th in the 400 yard medley relay.

In the individual events, Morgan was the top SHU finisher, taking 14th place in the 1650 yard freestyle.
