Sacred Heart University defeated the University of Bridgeport Purple Knights (81-41), while falling to University of Vermont Catamounts(97-35). The Pioneers have finished winter training and are showing potential to have a great championship run come February.

Sophomore Elizabeth Schweitzer placed second on both the 1-meter and 3-meter diving boards narrowly missing first place by a combined total of 2.4 pts. She finished with scores of 167.75 and 162.15 respectively. Adriana Morgan claimed Sacred Hearts only first place finish overall in the 400 Freestyle, winning in a time of 4:52.96. Eileen Connor grabbed two, second place finishes in her first home meet since injuring her back in the fall, in the 50 meter freestyle, and 100 meter freestyle events with times of 30.09 and 1:06.18.

The Pioneers take on Central Connecticut State and St. Francis (NY) on January 29th.
