Final Stats

Fairfield, CT - Freshman Katie Marshall (Cumberland, RI) and sophomore Johannah Kos (Feeding Hills, MA) each won two events, setting school records in the process, to lead the Sacred Heart swimming team to an 84-38 win over Mount. St. Mary's Saturday afternoon at Wagner College.

The freshman posted a 2:10.11 mark to take the 200 yard butterfly and then won the 100 yard butterfly with a time of 1:00.24. She also swam the third leg of the 400 yard freestyle relay. Kos' two event wins came in two backstroke events. In the 100 yard backstroke and 200 yard backstroke. She put up a time of 1:02.34 in the 100 yard event and then came in at 2:12.87 to claim the 200.

Marshall's winning times set new school records in her respective events. Kis also set a new mark in the 200 yard backstroke. SHU's 400 yard freestyle relay team also set a new school record. Marshall qualified for the ECAC Championships with her time in the 100 butterfly and Kos made the cut in the 200 yard backstroke. Overall, the Pioneers posted 14 individual best times.

The Pioneers are back in the pool Saturday afternoon when they visit St. Peter's. The meet starts at 1:00 pm.
