Final Stats

NEW BRITAIN, CT - For the second straight game the Sacred Heart women's soccer team played a Northeast Conference opponent tough, but came up short late. Karise Hilt scored the only goal of the game for Central Connecticut with 10:48 to play to lift the Blue Devils past the Pioneers, 1-0.

The loss was the second straight 1-0 defeat for Sacred Heart, now 1-13-3 overall and 0-5-1 in the NEC. Central improved to 8-5-4 and 5-2.

Hilt's unassisted game winner came from 30 yards out into the right corner of the goal, beating keeper Meghan Reichelt. Reichelt made six saves in the loss.

Central goalie Caity Casey made five saves. The Blue Devils outshot the Pioneers 20-8.
