Final Stats

PROVIDENCE, RI - Melissa Kim scored a pair of goals, both assisted by Jamie Mize to help the Brown University Bears to a 4-0 win over visiting Sacred Heart Wednesday night. The Pioneers rested or limited the amount of minutes of many of their regular players, with three Northeast Conference games coming up in the next week.

Brown, 5-8-1, got its first goal of the game in the 26th minute by Susie Keller. It would be the only goal of the first half.

Kim scored in the second minute of the second half. It was her first goal of the season. Julia Shapira made it 3-0 in favor of the Bears with a tally in the 60th minute. Kim closed the scoring with her second of the game just over a minute later.

Sacred Heart, 2-10-4, was limited to just two shots on goal in the game, while the Bears had 14. Sophomore Kristen Burch (Monroe, NY) made her first career start in goal for SHU and made ten saves.
