Final Stats

EMMITSBURG, MD - For the second straight game, the Pioneer women's soccer team outshot its opponent but still came up short on the scoreboard. Sunday, SHU outshot Mount St. Mary's 16-7 but dropped a 2-0 Northeast Conference decision.

Collen Regan scored the only goal the Mountaineers would need off a crossing pass by Emily Menotti in the 16th minute. Sarah Melpezzi made it 2-0 just before the half with an unassisted goal at 43:23.

Sacred Heart, 1-9-2 overall and 0-2 in the conference, outshout the Mount 7-2 in the second half but couldn't dent Mountaineer goalie Alicia Miller, who made eight saves in recording the shutout.

Meghan Reichelt made two saves for the Pioneers.
