Final Stats

NEW HAVEN, CT - The Sacred Heart women's soccer team gave up four first-half goals, three of them to Yale's Maggie Westfal as the Bulldogs blanked the Pioneers 6-0 on Tuesday evening.

Westfal registered her first career hat trick and scored her three goals in the first 27:16 of the match. Natalia Mann and Emma Whitfield set up the initial goal. Mann dribbled through the midfield and sent a ball wide to Whitfield, who crossed it into the box where Westfal was waiting to tap it in.

Her second goal came off a corner kick that Meghan Reichelt got a piece of but couldn't stop completely. Westfal completed the hat trick when she knocked in a Leslie Perez cross that got by Reichelt. Becky Brown also was credited with an assist on the goal.

Sacred Heart was outshot in the contest 14-6, forcing the Yale netminders to make just two saves. Reichelt made five saves for SHU. The loss dropped the Pioneers to 0-7.
