Verrette Named NEC Player of the Week for Second Consecutive Week

Fairfield, CT – For the second consecutive week, junior forward Kristin Verrette (Saugus, MA) was named Northeast Conference Player of the Week.  Verrette and Saint Francis's Tesa McKibben have both won the honor in back-to-back weeks this season.

Verrette recorded an assist and put in the game-winning goal in a 2-1 win over the Yale Bulldogs on Friday night. It was the junior captain's fourth goal of the season to lead the Pioneers and also her third game-winning goal of the season. Verrette has a team-high nine points this season, just one shy of her total from all of last year.

Verrette and the Pioneers wrap up their non-conference schedule on Thursday night at Hartford at 7:00 pm.
