Brianne Bell delivered the game-winning goal just under five minutes into the second overtime to lift the Robert Morris Colonials over Sacred Heart, 1-0, Sunday afternoon in a Northeast Conference tilt. The loss, SHU's second-straight, dropped the Pioneers to 1-2-1 in the NEC and 5-4-3 overall.

The Pioneers earned their second-straight win this weekend and close out non-conference play heading to the start of Northeast Conference action with a 4-2-2 mark.

Stiles Forces OT On Late Goal; SHU Falls 3-2 in Extra Frame
Only 18 seconds remained on the clock when Albany senior midfielder Chrissy Klepper deflected in a long ball off the boot of classmate Rebecca Lee to take a 3-2 overtime decision against the Sacred Heart University women’s soccer team. The Pioneers forced OT in a similar fashion as senior mid Amanda Stiles (Miller Place, N.Y.) knocked in a corner kick from fellow senior Maggie O’Callaghan (Commack, N.Y.) to bring the team’s even at two in the final minute of regulation.

Women’s Soccer Pegged Sixth in NEC Poll for Second Straight Year
For the second straight season, the Sacred Heart University women’s soccer team was chosen sixth in the 11 team Northeast Conference preseason coaches’ poll. The Pioneers finished sixth last season with a 4-3-3 league record and finished 8-6-5 overall.
