FAIRFIELD, CT (March 5, 2007) - Sacred Heart junior Amanda Williams (Monroe, CT) scored a game-high three goals including the game-winner with 7:38 to play to lift the Pioneers over Iona College 8-7 Wednesday afternoon. Williams also added an assist to her game totals as the Pioneers picked-up their second-straight win to even their record at 2-2.

SHU (2-2) sprinted out to a 3-0 lead just four minutes into play with Williams starting the rally with an 8meter free position goal just 35 seconds in. Iona (0-4) responded with a three-goal run of their own that spanned 10 minutes. Caitlyn Collins scored twice followed by a marker from Jaclyn O'Leary to tie it at 3-3 with 9:54 to go. The Gaels, who out shot Sacred Heart 15-8 in the second half, got a goal from Kasey Hughes and another from Lisa Baron to tied it at 6-6 at the 20:02 mark. SHU grabbed the lead right back just 41 seconds later on Harris' second goal of the day.
