The Set-Up...  Sacred Heart will look to end its seven game road trip the same way it began, with a win.  The Pioneers conclude their road trip Saturday night as they take on Nichols College.  The Pioneers season has been bittersweet; they are currently mired in a three game slide.  But SHU is only two weeks removed from a victory over Maine, the biggest win in school history.

History...  The Pioneers have only faced the Bison once in school history and that came last season.  Sacred Heart used two goals and four points from Taryn Lapierre in a 6-1 triumph.

Scouting the Bison...  Nichols has stumbled out of the starting blocks and is still looking for its first win.  The Bison have struggled to do anything on offense, through three games SueEllen Nault has the only goal for Nichols.

Up Next...  The Pioneers will return home next weekend to take on Hamline University for a weekend series.  The Pioneers then take on Holy Cross two days later on Tuesday night in Worcester, MA.

No Easy Games...  After this weekend the Pioneers will take on Hamline and Holy Cross who post a composite record of 7-0-0 entering this weekend.  Sacred Heart then will welcome Union and Robert Morris to the Wonderland of Ice.  In the last two seasons the Pioneers are 0-13-0 against the Colonials and Dutchwomen.

No Sign of a Sophomore Slump...  After impressive freshmen campaigns Lauren Fontaine and Taryn Lapierre are both off to fast starts this season.  Fontaine and LaPierre lead the team, each with four points.  Fontaine, the Pioneers leading scorer last season, has tallied two goals and two assists.  LaPierre’s four points have come on three assists and one goal.
