Setting the Scene... The Pioneer women's ice hockey team continues a week-long homestand with two games against Robert Morris University this weekend at the Wonderland of Ice. The teams will meet Friday night at 7:00 pm and Saturday afternoon at 2:00 pm.

Last Time Out...Sophomore Gina Arnone scored two goals and junior Katelin McLaughlin added a goal and assist as Sacred Heart scored three power play goals to beat Wesleyan, 4-2, Tuesday night at Wonderland of Ice. Senior Michelle Panella also had two helpers in the win.

SHU Leaders... Sophomore Gina Arnone leads the Pioneers offense for the season with 22 goals and 14 assists, for a total of 36 points. Those are team high stats in each category. Senior Michelle Panella is second with 17 goals and 13 assists for 30 points on the year. Junior Devon Gaslin leads the Pioneer defense core with 17 points, three goals and 14 assists.

Last Time vs Robert Morris... Robert Morris swept a pair of games from SHU in Pittsburgh in early January. Three Colonials had multiple goals in the series as RMU won by scores of 4-3 and 5-1. Michelle Panella had a goal and two assists in the series to lead Sacred Heart.

Scouting the Colonials... Robert Morris makes the trip from Pittsburgh with a 9-15-2 record, following a pair of home losses to CHA rival Wayne State last weekend in Pittsburgh. The Colonial attack is led by three sophomores with 20 points each. Kristin Miles has scored a team leading 14 goals and added six assists, Megan Picnic has 10 goals and a team high 10 assists, and Alissa Dorman has 12 goals and 8 helpers on the year. In goal, sophomore Brianne McLaughlin has posted a 3.00 goals against average with a .915 save percentage in 18 games this year.

Down the Road... Next weekend the Pioneers travel to Central New York to visit Cortland State and Elmira. SHU will celebrate Senior Day at their final home game on February 17th. The Pioneers close out their season with the ECAC Open Tournament February 24th and 25th in Colchester, VT.
