Women's Ice Hockey Releases 2009-10 Schedule

The Pioneer women's hockey team has its slate set for the 2009-10 campaign, which includes 30 regular season games before the ECAC Open Tournament. This year's schedule is highlighted by a meeting with rival rival Quinnipiac as well as a trip to the Nutmeg Classic. The Pioneers will also get a chance at revenge in a rematch of last year's ECAC Open Tournament Championship game with the Crusaders of Holy Cross. [+]

Ice HockeyPioneer Season Ends With 4-2 Defeat at Holy Cross in ECAC Title GameLauren Fontaine (Windsor, ON) posted two power play goals and freshman goaltender Amanda Nagel (Greenwood, MN) made 45 saves but the Sacred Heart women's hockey team fell to Holy Cross 4-2 Sunday afternoon in the ECAC Championship game.
