South Burlington, VT - Kathleen Twomey had two goals and an assist and Kasey Cedorchuck had a goal and assist as the Saint Anselm College women's hockey team defeated Sacred Heart University, 6-3, in the ECAC Open Tournament Championship Game at Cairns Arena in South Burlington on Sunday afternoon.

The Hawks scored four power play goals with two coming in the second and third periods. Arden Lyons was named the tournament's Most Outstanding Player with a hat tick in the semifinals and an assist in the championship.

For the Pioneers Gina Arnone (Bridgewater, N.J) picked up where she left off yesterday with two unassisted goals to go along with her hat trick in the semifinals. She also added an assist and was named to the All-Tournament Team. Katelin McLaughlin (Hingham, MA) tallied a power play goal, while goaltender Stephanie Boulay (Anchorage, AK) pushed aside 38 shots and earned a spot on the All-Tournament Team.

Twomey was named to the All-Tournament Team, along with teammate Arianna Rigano who posted an assist in the championship. Samantha Rowe chipped in with a power play goal and an assist for Saint Anselm and Andrea Berlin earned the championship victory with 24 saves between the pipes for her 13th win of the season.

Sacred Heart ended their season with a 12-20-1 overall mark and reached the championship game on a three-game winning streak.
