Third-Period Rally Comes Up Short Against Neumann
The Sacred Heart University Women’s ice hockey team fell short against the Neumann Knights in a 4-2 loss on Friday night at The Sports Center of Connecticut. The comeback began early in the third period on Taylor Moreland’s 11th goal of the season, and freshman Savannah Hersey’s first career tally, but the rally was stopped with just under a minute left in the game.

Following a near even first two periods in which Wesleyan (4-9-0) had a slight 18-17 edge in shots, Sacred Heart held a 15-6 advantage in the final twenty minutes. That included the final six of game, and four in the final 1:37 after the Pioneers pulled their goalie.
