On the local level, specifically Fairfield County, Joan Chickvary Cavanaugh of the Executive Women Golf Association of Fairfield County, was instrumental in reaching out to Coach Romeo. "I listened very closely to what she had to say...then, ran it by administration...in my opinion, we have created the framework for a long-lasting relationship with a fine organization that has a tremendous mission statement and vision...we are lucky to be associated with them giving back to this fine game." Romeo stated.
"We are very pleased with the commitment that the SHU Golf Program has given to our chapter." Site Administrator Joan Chickvary Cavanaugh stated. "This is a model partnership for LPGA - USGA Girls Golf, as the partnership matures, we will be able to do some creative initiatives that will make the experience for all the ladies involved magical."
