Dartmouth Invitational Day 1 Results

HANOVER, N.H. (September 14, 2008) - The Sacred Heart women's golf team sits tied for eighth place after the first day of the Dartmouth Invitational on Saturday. The Pioneers shot a team score of 326 and are tied with Williams College just four strokes behind Amherst in seventh and six back of Fairfield in sixth.

Senior Joanne Martorana and freshman Carly Bergin led the Pioneers on day one, shooting matching 80's at the par-72, 5,803 yard Hanover Country Club. The duo sit tied for 28th overall.

Senior Jennifer Tierney fired an 81 while freshman Michelle Riber shot an 85 and senior Jillian Nery shot an 89.

The final round will tee off on Sunday morning.
