The Sacred Heart women's golf team posted a team score of 332 to beat Central Connecticut State and Fairfield on Saturday in the CCSU Tri-Match played at the Wethersfield Country Club. The Pioneers were led by freshman Michelle Riber (Stockholm, Sweden) who won the 18-hole event following a matching of cards with Fairfield junior Alicia Esposito. Both Riber and Esposito shot 82 on the par 71, 5,926 yard course.

Senior Jennifer Tierney (Danbury, CT) with freshman teammate Carly Bergin who both shot 83. Senior Joanne Martorana (Randolph, NJ)) finished sixth with an 84 and senior Jillian Nery (New Bedford, MA) was tied for eighth with an 88.

The Pioneers will play in the University of Hartford Invitational on Monday and Tuesday at the Rockledge Golf Course.
