HANOVER, N.H.— The Sacred Heart women's golf team finished in sixth place at the annual Dartmouth Invitational on Sunday afternoon. The Pioneers finished with a team score of 615 in the two-round event.
Junior Chelsea Sedlar paced the Pioneers over the two-day event at Hanover Country Club. Sedlar finished tied for 11th overall at five-over par, carding a 72 in round one and 77 in round two. Sophomore Ana Contreras scored a two-over par, 74 in the final round to finish in 26th at +8. Senior Abigail Hood finished 12-over par to tie for 30th at +12. Senior Estee Deschamps tied for 37th at +15. Senior Alejandra Perez carded an 80 in the final round to tie for 41st. Classmate Lauren Pelster also tied for 41st at 17-over par as an individual.
Quinnipiac took the team title at 12-over par. Albany and host, Dartmouth finished second and third on the leaderboard at 18-over and 28-over respectively. SHU finished four strokes back of Siena for fifth place at +35.
The Pioneers close September at the Hartford Hawks Fall Invitational on Saturday, September 30.
