Women’s Golf Ties For 15th Place At Rutgers Women’s Invitational

PISCATAWAY, N.J. – The Sacred Heart women's golf team finished the Rutgers Women's Invitational  on Tuesday where it left off on Monday, in a tie for 15th.

The Pioneers tied with Quinnipiac after posting a team score of 327, an eight-shot improvement from Monday. Jennifer Clinton (Sayville, N.Y.) was Sacred Heart's top finisher in the tournament, placing tied for 36th after posting a 79 in the final round. Kelsey Hayward (Seekonk, Mass.) finished tied for 53rd after a final round 85. Ellen Nighbor improved on her first round score by three strokes with an 83 on Tuesday. Stephanie Lowe (Cedar Park, Texas) improved by 11 strokes on Tuesday with a final round score of 80.

Sacred Heart wraps up the fall with the SHU Golf Classic Oct. 20-21 at Great River Golf Club in Milford, Conn.
