Fairfield, CT - Senior Carisa Eye (Nesconset, NY) has been named the Northeast Conference Field Hockey Player of the Week for the week of October 6-12. It's the second league award of the season for Eye.

Eye's ability to carry a team in the offensive end was on full display this past week. The senior forward scored all seven of Sacred Heart's goals during three games, including an incredible four-goal performance that pushed the Pioneers past NEC rival Monmouth in overtime. After only needing 12 minutes against Monmouth to record her eighth career hat trick, Eye struck again 2:40 into overtime to snap the Pioneers' three-game slide. The senior forward capitalized off a turnover to give Sacred Heart a 1-0 advantage 11 minutes into a NEC contest at Rider before the Broncs responded with three unanswered tallies to take the victory. Eye began the week with a two-goal effort against Brown.

The Pioneers have two league home games this weekend as they host Siena Friday at 4:00 pm and Lock Haven Sunday at 12:00 pm.
