Sept. 29, 2008

Fairfield, CT - Senior Carisa Eye (Nesconset, NY) has been named the Northeast Conference Field Hockey Player of the Week for the week of September 22-28.

Eye, a former NEC Player of the Year, scored four of Sacred Heart's five goals last week. She began by notching a natural hat trick in a 3-1 NEC victory over visiting Robert Morris. Following her sixth career hat trick, and 18th multi-goal effort, the senior scored on the road at Saint Joseph's to bring the Pioneers within one goal of the Hawks before the comeback effort fell short in a 3-2 defeat. Eye has accounted for exactly 60 percent of Sacred Heart's scoring output this season.

The Pioneers are back in action Friday when they host Bryant. Game time at Campus Field is set for 4:00 pm.
