Final Stats

FAIRFIELD, CT (October 30, 2009) - Junior forward Stephanie Fazio (Norwalk, CT/Brien McMahon) netted her fourth goal of the season in the third minute for Sacred Heart. Her goal held up to be the winning score in the Pioneers' field hockey 1-0 Northeast Conference victory over St. Francis (PA) on Campus Field Friday afternoon.  SHU improves to 3-15 on the year and 2-5 in the NEC, while the Red Flash drop to 2-15 and 2-5.

 

Junior goalkeeper Kim Stow (Norwalk, CT/Norwalk) made one save to record her first shutout of the season.  St. Francis sophomore Katelyn Vitali (Churchville, MD/Milton Wright) posted eight saves in the loss.

 

The Pioneers outshout the Red Flash 11-3 for the game.

 

Sacred Heart concludes the 2009 season with a NEC matchup against Robert Morris on Senior Day at Campus Field this Sunday at 2:30.
