Final Stats

BOSTON, MA (September 19, 2009) – The Sacred Heart University field hockey team suffered a 7-0 non-conference defeat at Boston University Saturday afternoon.  The loss dropped the Pioneers to 1-7 on the season, while the Terriers improved to 2-5 overall.

 

The BU offense was led by a pair of goals from freshman Nicole van Oosterom and Jacinda McLeod.  Senior Haley Robinson and junior Allie Dolce each contributed three assists and a goal in the win for the Terriers.

 

Sacred Heart kept BU from scoring until McLeod broke through with the first goal of the game 13:07 in from the top of the circle off a corner by Dolce.

 

Junior goalie Kim Stow (Norwalk, CT) made 10 saves in the losing effort for Sacred Heart.  Junior Amanda Smith and freshman Julie Collins combined for the shutout for BU without recording a save.

 


 

 

The Pioneers return to action at Brown on Wednesday at 4:00.
