Final Stats

Fairfield, CT - The Sacred Heart field hockey team lost a pair of games at the Hofstra Invitational over the holiday weekend. The Pioneers dropped a 2-1 decision to Rhode Island on Saturday and then fell to LaSalle by a 4-2 score on Sunday.

Junior Carisa Eye (Nesconset, NY) scored all three Pioneer goals on the weekend. Although Eye was able to keep the Pioneers in the games, either bringing the her team within one score or giving them lead with each goal, the red and white couldn't hold on for a victory in either game. Junior Amy Hendricks (Milford, PA) collected an assist against Rhode Island.

The Pioneers visit Boston College on Sunday. Game time is set for 1:00 pm.
