Final Stats

DAVIDSON, NC - Davidson University's Finley Amato scored the only goal of the game just over three minutes before halftime and goalie Christa Goeke made three saves to give the Wildcats a 1-0 win over visiting Sacred Heart.

The Pioneers, now 0-2 after their second loss in North Carolina, were outshot 14-7 in the contest. Junior goalie Kim Stow (Peterborough, NH) helped keep SHU in the game, making eight saves.

SHU put some late pressure on the Wildcats, taking four penalty corners and firing three shots in the final six minutes of play.

The Pioneers will be off until Friday, when they travel to New Haven to take on Yale University.
