Christine Blais

Head Coach Christine Blais completed her first season as head coach of the Pioneer field hockey program in 2001-2002 after serving most of the 2000 season as an assistant coach with the program.

Blais brings a wealth of international playing and coaching experience to the Pioneers. She most recently played and coached at the Klein Zwitserland Hockey Club in The Hague, Netherlands. On the collegiate level, Blais was an assistant coach at Boston University, where she assisted in all facets of the program, including recruiting, scouting and on-field coaching. Blais, a 1995 graduate of Penn State, was an All-American in 1994. She was also a three-time All-Big Ten Academic-Athletic honor winner and the recipient of the 1994 Academic-Athletic Achievement Award. Her 1993 Nittany Lions squad won the Big Ten Championship.

In 1994, she was a member of the United States Olympic National Training Squad and took part in the U.S. Olympic Festival that year. She was also a member of the 1999-00 U.S. National Training Team.
