SHU Field Hockey Spearheads NEC Be The Match Challenge
Head coach Chris Blais and her Sacred Heart University field hockey team organized that Be The Match Challenge, a conference-wide effort to gain bone marrow donations. In all, six Northeast Conference teams participated in the event. The Pioneers received the second most donors with 137, while Saint Francis (PA) totaled the most donors with 217.

Sacred Heart Field Hockey Announces Class of 2014
Sacred Heart University field hockey coach Chris Blais has announced the seven members of the team's incoming freshman class. The seven freshmen will represent the Pioneers as the class of 2014.

14 Pioneers Earn 2009 Gladiator by SGI/NFHCA Academic Honors
Fourteen student-athletes from the Sacred Heart University field hockey team were named to the 2009 Gladiator by SGI/National Field Hockey Coaches Association Division I National Academic Squad. As a team the Pioneers were also recognized by the NFHCA for maintaining a team grade point average of 3.0 or higher.

SHU Field Hockey Teams with NEC for Bone Marrow Drive
The Sacred Heart University field hockey team and the Northeast Conference have joined to initiate the "Be The Match" Bone Marrow Drive this month. The Pioneers will host their fourth annual bone marrow drive on March 23 from 11am to 4pm in the William H. Pitt Center aerobics room.

Sacred Heart University field hockey coach Chris Blais has announced that the team will host a youth clinic at Campus Field and the Williams H. Pitt Center, on April 11. The team will also hold a 7v7 invitational on May 2.
