CANTON, NY - Danielle Curcio qualified for Intercollegiate Horse Show Association (IHSA) Nationals Saturday afternoon by winning her qualifiying round at the Zone Championships at St. Lawrence University in New York.

Her win secured her a spot at the IHSA National Championships to be held May 3-6 in Springfield Mass at the Big E.

Curcio was first to compete in her division - a tough draw for any rider. She rode consistently and posted a round that set the standard for the class. The course offered lots of "tests" and for many riders opportunities to make mistakes,

"Danielle tends to excel at this type of course, the more challenging the course the better she does," said SHU head coach Sloane Milstein. "At the end of her class that is exactly what she did."
