LEONIA, NJ - Junior equestrian rider Lauren Pierce qualified for her second career IHSA post-season appearance on Sunday. With a 3rd place showing in Open Fences, Pierce surpassed the requisite 28 points to qualify for the season ending competition.

Pierce joins teammates Sara Spagna, Nicole Lay and team co-captains Ashley Coppola and Kelly McGovern at the April 2nd competition.

Pierce last competed at Regionals during her freshman campaign, in Intermediate Fences. There, she finished as the 2004 Zone 3, Region 1 Reserve Champion and moved on to compete at the Zone 3 Championship Horse Show.

Sunday's Regional competition will be held at Good Shepherd Farm in Yaphank, NY. Team supporters are encouraged to come out and join the team ringside.
