BETHEL, CT - The Sacred Heart Equestrian hosted the first-ever Western IHSA Competition in the New England Region this past weekend at Hollow Hill Farm where the team takes weekly instruction from owner Britt Heggland. The Pioneers competed against Army, Stevens Tech and Centenary College.

Competing for Sacred Heart were team co-captains Casey Marino, who took a first place, and Janel Beauregard who placed second in her event. Also saddling up were Brittany Beckwith (1st place), Clare Ryan (3rd place), Colleen Booth (2nd place) and Ali Bredehorst (2nd place).
