Sloane Milstein begins her fourth season as Sacred Heart
equestrian coach, bringing nearly 25 years of riding and coaching
experience to the Pioneers. She has had numerous successes at the
regional level, Zones Championships and at the IHSA Nationals. She
came to Sacred Heart after working as the Varsity Riding Instructor
at Valley Forge Military Academy and College in Pennsylvania. Coach
Milstein is an experienced rider in numerous disciplines including
hunter/jumpers, three day eventing, side saddle and proficient in
western horsemanship. She is also an accomplished all around
athlete; 2000 and 2004 Olympic Hopeful in both Pistol Shooting and
Modern Pentathlon (Running, Swimming, Shooting, Fencing and
Horseback Riding). Coach Milstein holds a BA in Accounting from the
University of New Mexico and Masters of Education, Sport and
Recreation Administration from Temple University and will be
starting a doctoral degree this fall at Southern Connecticut State
University.
