DOVER, DE - The Sacred Heart University women's bowling team has been ranked eighth in the latest national poll conducted by the National Tenpins Coaches Association, the voice and leadership of NCAA bowling. This is the third of six monthly polls scheduled for the 2006-07 season by the NTCA. Fairleigh Dickinson University of Teaneck, NJ, Vanderbilt University of Nashville, TN, and the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, NE reclaimed the top three spots, respectively.

Fairleigh Dickinson narrowly was ranked first for the third straight poll. While the Knights received 10 out of 19 first place votes (10), they held onto the top spot by a mere eight points. In their only competition during the latest evaluation period, FDU (37-8-0) finished third at the Holiday Jamboree in Glassboro, NJ.
