#9 Sacred Heart Opens Season at Fright Knight Invite

The Pioneer women's bowling team kicked-off the 2009-10 season this weekend in Elmwood Park, NJ at the Fright Knight Invite hosted by Fairleigh Dickinson. Sacred Heart posted a 7-6 record on the weekend and was led by sophomore Savannah Zientara (Lewiston, NY) who finished 13th in the field with a 182.3 average. The Pioneers did pick up non-conference wins over NEC rivals Kutztown, New Jersey City, and Long Island. [+]
10/21/2009 - BowlingWomen's Bowling Ranked Ninth in NationThe Sacred Heart women's bowling team has been ranked ninth in the nation in this seasons first poll conducted by the National Tenpin Coaches Association. At the end of the year the top eight teams are selected to participate in the national championship. This year's NCAA Championship will be held in North Brunswick, NJ. The Pioneers will look to return to the big dance for the fifth time in seven years. [+] |
