ELMWOOD PARK, NJ - The Sacred Heart University women's bowling team, ranked sixth nationally, stands at 3-7 after the first two days of the Fairleigh Dickinson Invitational.

After a 1-4 record on Friday that included a loss to defending National Champion Maryland-Eastern Shore, Saturday the Pioneers picked up wins over Adelphi and St. Francis. -Freshman Savannah Zientara came up with the big strike in the tenth frame to steal the win over Adelphi. She was high scorer for the Pioneers in Saturday's action with 1002 total pins and a 200 average which placed her 13th in the individual standings.

The Pioneers sit in eighth place going into Sunday's Baker matches, starting with the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater.
