Sacred Heart vs. Monmouth - NEC Semifinals Post Game Quotes

Monmouth Head Coach Michele Baxter

On her team's performance: "In the second half, we played harder. We are a fairly young team with just one senior and they were new to this. At halftime we went through some things."

"[Sacred Heart] always plays well at home and because of free throws and 1-and-1's we had chances but things didn't go our way. It's our fault for not finishing when we could've. We were in position to win, but we didn't get the job done."

Sacred Heart Head Coach Ed Swanson

On today's performance: "One thing that matters is that we had more points than they did when the buzzer sounded. The kids kept persevering and they did a heck of a job fighting back."

"Playing Mount St. Mary's is an awful match-up for us. Playing Monmouth is an awful match-up for us and it's tough to get in our sort of rhythm."

Senior Forward Jasmine Walker

On today's performance: "I felt like my season flashed before my eyes and I wasn't going to have my career end like that. We were just able to pull out a win."

"We just didn't put our heads down and we treated every possession like a ball of money. You can't let it be stolen from you."
