Sacred Heart vs. Fairleigh Dickinson Post Game Notes
Sacred Heart extended their series lead to 13-1 over Fairleigh Dickinson in the all-time series. SHU has won nine-straight in the series.
Seniors Amanda Pape and Jasmine Walker posted their second-consecutive matching double doubles Monday night. Pape finished with 26 points and 11 rebounds while Walker scored 12 with 10 boards. The duo both have 23 double dips for their careers and have accomplished the feat in the same game six times in their careers and three times this season but Monday marked the first time they have done it in consecutive games.
Walker passed out a career-high five assists. Her previous high was four against Columbia last season (1/9/06). She matched her season-high of two blocks set at Saint Peter's (12/20/06).
Pape's 26 points marked the 10th game this season she has notched 20 or more points. It was her fifth game over 20 points in her last seven.
Junior Lisa Moray hit four three's Monday night, giving her 58 on the season, third on the all-time list for three-point field goals in a season. The school record is 63 held by Maureen Delaney (1995-96). Her 122 career three's ranks her eighth on the all-time list.
Sophomore Kaitlin Sowinski continued her dominate play against the Knights with 13 points and nine rebounds. In five career games against FDU, Sowinski has scored 61 points (12.2 ppg) with 32 rebounds (6.4 rpg) while shooting 23-of-40 (57.5%).
Sacred Heart jumped back into sole possession of second place in the NEC standings with the win, coupled with Robert Morris' 87-84 loss at Quinnipiac tonight. SHU stands at 11-3, holding a half game lead over the Colonials at 10-3.
